Technical Sales Support Representative

We offer the position of Technical Sales Support Representative for our client Harris.

The Harris Products Group/Division of The Lincoln Electric Company

the world leader in the design, development, manufacture, sale, marketing and service of oxy-fuel equipment ( pressure regulators, flowmeters, tips, torches and accessories) for use with industrial gases in cutting, welding, brazing and heating applications.

Location: Dzierżoniów, Lower Silesia, Poland – approximately 60 km away from Wrocław 

General   responsibilities

This position provides technical expertise and guidance for sales (internal and external) , customer service, plant personnel, distributors and end users with a focus on safety and correct usage of Harris oxy fuel equipment.  Supports customers by handling incoming technical queries (usually by email), eventually by phone (limited extend).  Coordinate special order requests from Technical Services as well as outside sales.  Coordinate on-time shipment of products with customer service and manufacturing.

       Specific  responsibilities

1. Receives and responds to phone calls, emails, etc. from sales, customer service, plant personnel, distributors and end users regarding technical issues including product selection and use .

2. Determines customer requirements for specific products and applications to be able to offer a competitive solution.

3. Contacts specific house accounts regularly for follow-up, lead times and new opportunities.

4.Provides first-class technical and customer service solutions to existing and potential new accounts.

5. Assists in the maintenance when necessary for claims, product return and evaluation.

6. Assists in the maintenance and updating of the Harris Products Repair Manual as needed.

7. Assists customer service with order placement, product selection based on availability and shipment processes.

8. Interacts with personnel at all levels within Harris to educate and resolve technical issues.

9. Interfaces with engineering and production personnel to insure appropriate changes are recommended to engineering and manufacturing documents.

10. Explains issues in technical and non-technical terms to insure thorough understanding of safe product use, problem resolution and equipment specifications.

11. Provide technical support, demonstrations and training where needed and where it will drive a positive sales result by promoting all Harris products.

12. Suggests alternate Harris products to customer if first choice is unavailable.

13. Collaborates with various departments including Engineering, Production, Quality Control, Shipping and Marketing in all phases of development of new, special or customized product to ensure customer satisfaction.

14. Compile and maintain all required documents, records, documents following procedures outlined in company manuals.
15. Other functions as signed by the Customer Service Department management.
16. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.

Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering (preferential).
2. Experience in sales, customer or product management environment for at least 3 years is required.
3. Sufficient level of technical knowledge, ability to learn entire product line.
4. Fluency in English.
5. Ability to travel (limited extend). This is an office based position which occasionally may require a visit to customer.
6. Interpersonal ability to represent the company in contacts with customers and build relationships with them.
